Kip Temm, DVMDr. Temm is a native of Arundel and is currently living in Kennebunk on a small farm. He attended M.L. Day School in Arundel, Biddeford High School, the University of Maine in Orono for his degree in Animal Science, and he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1994 from the University of Missouri at Columbia. In addition, Dr. Temm is one of only a handful of veterinarians certified in PennHIP evaluation. Dr. Temm has been practicing Veterinary medicine for over 23 years and has owned his own practice for 17 years. He has a special interest in canine and feline reproduction, veterinary chiropractic, and preventative medicine. He is a former president of the Maine Veterinary Medical Association and has served on the board. Since 1996, he has worked with marine mammals, assisting with rehab, medical and surgical cases. Currently, he is the Veterinarian for Marine Mammals. He is married to Suzy, our Bookkeeper, and together they have two children, Amelia and Steven. The family has two dogs, Bailey and Patch; four house cats and several cows. He is an avid sports fan (Patriots, Bruins, Red Sox, and Celtics), and he enjoys playing poker.
Suzy Temm, Bookkeeper and ManagerSuzy is a Maine native, growing up in Rockland. She graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Suzy is married to Dr. Temm and handles the bookkeeping and managing of the Veterinary Hospital. Her special interests include gardening and sports.
Anne Gannon, ManagerAnne has been our Manager since we opened in April of 2000. She handles the supervision of our personnel, manages our client accounts, schedules appointments, and helps out wherever she is needed. Anne holds a B.S. In Business Administration from Husson College and has over 30 years of managerial experience. She raises and shows Samoyeds and currently lives with five, ranging in age from one year to almost 10. Anne is devoted to the rescue and placement of Samoyeds and has spent the past 15 years actively involved as an officer in several dog clubs. Anne is a DIY'er, enjoying doing all sorts of home improvements, and she reads extensively, with science fiction as her special favorite. She is a native of Saco, where she and much of her family still live.
Cheryl Laprel, ReceptionistCheryl has lived in Maine all her life and has worked in a number of veterinary hospitals for 11 years., returning to the field as part of our staff in 2011. Licensed with the State of Maine to do wildlife rehab, she has successfully rehabilitated foxes, raccoons, skunks, deer, and opossums to be released back into the wild. Cheryl and her husband owned and operated a small local convenience store for 10 years. Cheryl loves animals and enjoys riding her Harley motorcycle with her husband and friends.
Jen Cianchette, TechnicianJen joined our team in January of 2016 and earned her Veterinary Technician degree from University of Maine Augusta-Bangor campus. Her interests include running, bee-keeping and her cats Marley and Sid.
Tom Foster, TechnicianTom rejoined our team after taking some time off to raise his twin boys. He enjoys spending time attending their many sporting events. He has been an avid owner and breeder of Gordon Setters since 1990. He owns a kennel and several dogs and cats.
Kaitlyn Bergeron, Receptionist / AssistantKaitlyn became a member of our staff in May of 2017. She is currently taking classes at York County Community College to become a Veterinary Technician. Her pets include two dogs, Chin and Mack, as well as two bearded dragons, Leonard and Sheldon.
